Animals have soul. They can be our spirit guides in this life and when they pass over. They reincarnate as we do. They have a deep spiritual self that manifests complete unconditional love. The life after death is rich, beautiful, radiant and complex- but one that moves us closer to the light and resonance with the universal love.
Today I lost my friend. He has passed over to the “Rainbow Bridge” where he waits for me. The Burton pack is one less now but stronger because of Buck. Those of you, who knew him well, knew him as “Mr.” Buck. He came by the moniker naturally through his quiet strength and dignity that never failed. We will miss him but never forget him. A greyhound is an ancient soul and one of the oldest breeds. We have been graced by his presence and loved unconditionally. Mr. Buck lived for face rubs and to sneak a cup of coffee. He received both in his last hours.
Mr. Buck was treated in his last days with care and honor, as he cared and honored us in his life. It is because of him that we cherish his life beyond his passing. He is free now and beyond pain and suffering; a promise made and kept because of the love he shared and the lives he touched. He was my friend and partner for a space in time. Mr. Buck may be gone, but never, ever forgotten.
Thank you for your thoughts, prayers and word of comfort. I cannot express the gratitude I feel for the staff and Vets at CTAH. You honor us and our pack through your care.
Peace to you and yours in our time.
