She was only 3 pounds when first we got our Claire, she was 8 weeks old and a runt. What she lacked in size she made up in sassy personality. She spoke to us and we understood. A nod of her head, a short yelp was a command-a request, instructions for us: come follow me, it is dark out I want an escort. She would fix us with those black eyes and speak volumes. She never lost her appetite, Claire really liked to eat, she was our stocky little Scottie. She had a beautiful wooly black coat that had gone to silver in places, especially her ears. Claire would have been nine years this October 7, 2008. We lost her to cancer on July 5, 2008. We have wonderful memories of our little girl.
